Jon Mitchell rules Crate Late Model foes at Ark-La-Tex Speedway

Jon Mitchell invaded Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Ark.) on Friday afternoon to hop behind the wheel of his Rocket Chassis No. 5 Crate Late Model. In a field of 13 cars, Mitchell jumped two spots in his heat race to place second behind Robbie Starnes. Unable to close the distance on race-long pacesetter Tyler Stevens, Mitchell notched a runner-up finish in the 20-lap feature. Starnes, Jamie Burford, and Brandon Ball rounded out the Top-5.

The following night at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, La.), Jon gained one spot in his heat to pick up the eight-lap victory. Keeping fellow front-row starter Tyler Stevens at bay throughout the 20-lap feature, Mitchell soared to his second win of the season over Stevens, Robbie Starnes, Jamie Burford, and Brandon Ball.
